Audioarchivist notes:
I have to thank Dennis again - I didn't know that Cowboy Junkies give free tickets to tapers! So, I guess the band got a 2 for 1 deal on the taper +1 guest list pass that he got! We had special reserved seats up at the front, but, sadly, to the side. Still, I think we got a fairly balanced and interesting mix sitting less than 10 feet from Michael! We were allowed to set up slightly early, and allowed to stay between the early and late shows. It was great to be able to record a band like this from right up front, and not only to be allowed to record, but to be encouraged to come with a free ticket for tapers! How cool is that! Support the band : go to their website CowboyJunkies.com

The Zoom H2's internal mic preamps are known to be kind of noisy, and they do probably make a level of noise on this recording. Despite the small noise level, I was impressed with the high end response on my recording. I think you can hear the air around the band! haha. The Shure Prologue 16's (I hate to call them a Radio Shack product! haha) each take a 1.5v AA battery. I know they are not the best mics, but I think I can see signal up to 30000hz on the master recording! The mids and lows on my version are not bad, and I've done some minor EQ work to sweeten the downsampled and dithered CD version presented here. I've also done some level balance and volume adjustments to this version limited to -.01db (just in case of extreme peaks) but not compressed. Dennis' version has much better low end, except for a small flaw in his recording with some low interference (I think). It would be interesting to matrix mix our recordings, as his has more detailed low end and mine has very good highs. Hmmm......
